HUNTINGTON, Ind. — A man’s body found in a van at a rest area along Interstate 69 might have been there for almost a month, a coroner said.
Authorities identified the man as 58-year-old James Mullins. He was last seen Nov. 27 when he left his home in Huntington to travel about 85 miles to Indianapolis for a work-related seminar, Huntington County Coroner Leon Hurlburt said. His wife reported him missing the next day.
An attendant at the rest area north of the Markle exit, about 10 miles from Huntington, found Mullins’ body Sunday in a white 1999 Ford full-size van, Hurlburt said.
