Here are the rules:
1 — Leave a comment, saying you want to be interviewed.
2 — I will respond; I’ll ask you five questions.
3 — You’ll update your journal with my five questions, and your five answers.
4 — You’ll include this explanation.
5 — You’ll ask other people five questions when they want to be interviewed.
And off we go…
1. If you woke up and could suddenly arrange 3 things in your life to be exactly perfect and how you want them, what would those things be?
First off, I would be a hell of a lot less shy and more social than I am now. Then again, that’s a bit of a given. ;-)
Secondly, I would be in shape and not such a sucker for food. I’m going to try and do something about that, but as with any kind of addiction it’s difficult to overcome.
Third, I’d be living in Vegas making money on the poker tables. I’m not quite that confident in my own abilities, though, so I limit myself to the occasional poker game with coworkers and the bi-annual tournament a coworker holds.
2. Do you want children?
I honestly don’t know. I’ll cross that bridge once (if?) I settle down with the right woman. I’ve been told I’d make a great father, but we’ll see.
3. Has learning that you have aspergers syndrome affected your life in any way good or bad, and do you understand yourself any better because of the diagnosis?
It hasn’t really affected me in a good or bad way, other than the fact that yes, I DO understand now why my thought processes are so different from the average person’s. I can accept it and live with it. My only regret concerning it is my crippling case of shyness. I can deal with that, though.
4. What is your biggest pet peeve?
I have three of equal size. I hate when people waste my time. I hate out and out stupidity. I hate when people try to force their beliefs on others.
5. If you could be anywhere with anyone right now, where would you be and with whom?
That’s a pretty good question. For lack of a better answer, I’d have to say in Las Vegas (most likely at Caesar’s or the Luxor) playing blackjack or poker with Missy, with Blue Man Group tickets in hand for the night. It’d be a great night out with my best friend who I hadn’t seen in ages. :-)
